Below are the sketches I'll use for my modelling.

And here I made sure the different head orientations matched up.

After Much imagining this is what I finally managed to put onto paper:

And this is the side view of the design I settled on:

I imagined that the cape would be quite difficult to model and then animate, So I have reimagined him as a kind of cooky character dressed in an almost superman costume onesie.
