Character Designs

This post contains all the major designs that I made during the planning stages.

At this point all the features were still being finalised in class. This is a more realistic styling and I hadn't yet chosen to go with the Aardman style again.

By now the class Had decided to go with a lion head and that it had to be able to stand on two legs. So I designed it standing up, and made allowances in the body shape for it to bend over at the back knees.

Here be some facial expression and shape experiments. I went with the two on the right. 

And here are some body shape experiments. I went with the one second in from the left. (the scribbly shapes are knee join thoughts.)
